Recently we went to a family member’s cabin in the BC interior Cariboo region. This particular cabin is at the end of the Lake Tyee where you are completely off grid. No electricity. No plumbing. No internet. No cell phone signal. It was magical!
It was lovely to wake up to see the morning mist on the lake and hear the haunting call of the loons. Did you know that loons have four or five different calls? This is what I was told but I have not done any research into it yet. What we did see was a loon family. The baby was named Desmond. I have no idea why but it was cute. It was pretty cool to watch them as the momma went fishing and would feed Desmond her catch.
While at the cabin we had access to kayaks, a paddleboat, two aluminum boats and an inflatable stand-up paddleboard (SUP). I loved every moment I got to spend out on the water. One thing I did learn is that an inflatable SUP, while a great option for storage and ease of transporting, is not a great option for me. What I observed is that there is a bit more upkeep with an inflatable. You have to be extra careful around the dock so stray nails/screws or even wood doesn’t puncture the craft. How do I know this? My family had visitors at the cabin and one of their guests managed to put a hole in the board. You also need to check the welds to make sure they haven’t “let go”. I never tried the SUP but I talked with my 14 year old niece and she said they are great but they are a little less sturdy than the conventional SUP. I know there are probably different brands that are better quality or sturdier than others, but this is my observation.
This design is wicked! You obviously know how to keep a reader
entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start
my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job.
I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it.
Too cool! https://vanzari-parbrize.ro/parbrize/parbrize-daf.html
